Laureates of the Behnken-Berger Prizes 2019


The Behnken-Berger Foundation is a foundation under civil law and goes back to the German physicist Hermann Behnken (1889-1945) and his wife Traute Behnken-Berger. The purpose of the foundation is to promote science and research in the field of radiation protection with a special focus on promoting young scientists.


This year's Behnken-Berger prize went to

Dr. Matthias Würl
Dr. Matthias Würl for his dissertation
"On the Spectrometry of Laser-Accelerated Particle Bunches and Laser-Driven Proton Radiography"

The award ceremony took place during the annual conference of the German Society of Medical Physics from 18 to 21 September 2019 in Stuttgart.
